About ChangeCamp Halifax

The objective of ChangeCamp Halifax, like the other ChangeCamps going on across the country, is to facilitate public participation through new relationships and new media. Our mission is to provide a forum where engaged citizens can collaborate with a goal of establishing new ideas, new networks, and new tools to resolve issues that Halifax faces today and will face in the future. ChangeCamp is intended to be action- and solutions-oriented and non-partisan.

ChangeCamps seek to encourage non-partisan public participation enabled by new forms of communication, e.g. digital media and social networking sites. Through providing a medium that will bring together engaged citizens, policymakers, community designers, and politicians, facilitated by web developers and the tech community, ChangeCamp brings about the opportunity for each of these groups to form collaborative new relationships.

For more information, the ChangeCamp Halifax organizing team can be reached at changecamphalifax@gmail.com. Follow us on twitter @changecamphfx!

We look forward to seeing you on the 5th!
